There is a minimum charge of $15 for small jobs, simply to cover the time it takes to select appropriate pens/inks and do the work itself.
Like larger jobs, small projects incur a layout fee as well as a lettering fee. Simple fill-ins on certificates, for example, might incur a $5 fee once for layout and $1.75 fee per certificate for the names/dates being filled in.
Invitations: Invitations follow the price guidelines for Original Art. A full invitation set in hand-lettered calligraphy (which would include the invitation, a response card and envelope, a reception card, and the outer envelope's return address) will range in price from $150 - 400, depending on the styles chosen and the amount of decoration/painting involved. Your first step is to contact your printer for guidelines that will be followed. If you have trouble finding a local printer to do this custom work, contact Catherine.
Wedding Certificates/Ketubot, Programs, Menus, Favors: These are all considered custom work and follow the Original Art price guidelines below. If you have a vision of what you'd like Catherine to create, contact her. She'd be happy to hear it and discuss the particulars.
CUSTOM WORK & ORIGINAL ART
Each original piece requires a unique layout and design, and each design involves a different amount of lettering, painting, and detail work. If you have a text or some other document you want lettered, contact Catherine with a sense of size and level of ornamentation desired, and she will be happy to provide you with a timeframe and an estimate for your piece. To give you some sense, the range of prices for original wedding certificates and resolutions usually runs between $250 and $750.

WALL ART, DEMONSTRATIONS & OTHER OUT-OF-STUDIO WORK
Depending on your distance from Catherine and the type of work you need done, the rate ranges from $40 - 50/hour. Contact her to discuss your project.
CLASSES AND LESSONS
Private lessons are $45/hour in your local home, $40/hour in Catherine's. Contact her for the cost to meet in locations more than 15 miles from Frenchtown, New Jersey.
